Had a great weeks stay at the Pepper Pot, a quirky little cottage but that suited us down to the ground, all facilities you needed were there. The village is lovely with 4 great pubs, a convenience store with PO and a little cafe. With the train station so close, , you can reach Exmouth, Exeter, Dawlish. so plenty to do. I bought an East Devon Parking permit which cost £25 for the full 7 days and then didn't have to pay daily and you could park in other car parks controlled by East Devon in the price. Karen was brilliant and communicated very well even letting us know by text message that the little fish "shack" was open on Saturday and so we went and purchased some fresh crab which was great. All in all a great week was had and we hope to return one day.

My recent stay at Pepper Pot Villa was fantastic! The quirky little cottage was just perfect for a cozy getaway. The village of Lympstone was lovely, with great pubs and a convenient store nearby. Plus, the access to the local railway service made it easy to explore the surrounding area. One specific situation that stood out was when Karen, the owner, provided fresh flowers and a welcome Prosecco upon arrival. It was such a thoughtful and cute gesture.
Although there were a couple of minor issues, like a creaky single bed and the need for a few hooks in the bathroom, they were really not a problem.

Had a fantastic week at Pepper Pot Villa, a charming cottage in a lovely village. All the necessary facilities were available, and the location was ideal for exploring the surrounding areas. With a train station nearby, it was easy to visit Exmouth, Exeter, Dawlish, Paignton. We even got to enjoy fresh crab from the local fish shack thanks to Karen's helpful text message. A brilliant week overall, and we hope to return one day. Cons: For us, it was ideal! 😊.

During my recent stay at The Pepper Pot in Lympstone, I was delighted by the quaint character of the cottage. Its charming ambiance created a warm and cute atmosphere, making me feel right at home. The location of the cottage was also a major highlight, as it allowed for easy access to the beautiful Exe estuary trail. I enjoyed leisurely walks to both Exmouth and Topsham, with a good pit stop at the Puffing Billy pub in Exton.
While the overall experience at The Pepper Pot was enjoyable, there were a couple of drawbacks worth mentioning. Upon arrival, it took a while for the cottage to warm up, and I noticed some draughtiness downstairs.

The location was perfect, with the village and train station just a stone's throw away. The cottage itself had a cozy atmosphere and provided everything we needed for a long weekend.
One thing worth mentioning is the somewhat confusing signage in the car park about parking fees. using the phone app for payment worked seamlessly.

The location was excellent, with easy access to the nearby pubs, tearoom, and convenience store. It was also great to have the Exe Estuary Trail right on our doorstep for outdoor activities. the close proximity to the train station allowed us to easily explore other destinations in the area.
The cottage felt quite damp, probably due to the recent rainy weather. the interior was small and dark, with outdated furnishings that gave it a very old-fashioned vibe.

The bathroom was cozy and had a nice shower. It made me feel refreshed and ready for the day. As a busy parent, it was a great little sanctuary to relax in.
The bathroom only had a shower. Personally, I prefer having the option of a bath, but others might still enjoy it.

The Pepper Pot in Lympstone was an absolute gem of a cottage. It had all the amenities we needed for a cosy long weekend getaway. The location was perfect, with the train station right next door and three fabulous pubs within walking distance. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable, and filled with interesting curiosities that added a unique touch to our stay. Karen, the host, was excellent in her communication and even welcomed us with fresh flowers and a bottle of Prosecco. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
The morning meal could have been improved with the addition of a microwave. It's become somewhat of an essential nowadays, and it would have been convenient to have one available.

We got great value for our money at the Pepper Pot in Lympstone. The room was super cozy with a comfortable bed and a log burner, plus there were quirky old artifacts that added to the charm. The location was perfect, right in the middle of the lovely village and close to the train station. The staff, especially Karen, were great and communicated well throughout our stay. a great week and we hope to return one day.
The only thing that could make the breakfast better at the Pepper Pot would be to have a wider selection of breakfast items.
